Ninth Annual Memphis Grizzlies Stay In School Challenge

The Ninth Annual Memphis Grizzlies Stay In School Challenge presented by Lucite International encourages area middle school students to attend school everyday and achieve a 93 percent or higher attendance rate. The nine-week program runs from March 8 thru May 18, 2012. To help excite the students at Corey and Vance Middle Schools about the program, the Grizzlies held tip-offs at each school.  Quincy Pondexter made special appearances at Vance Middle and spoke to the students about the importance of staying in school, the value of earning a diploma and shared his personal story with the students.

At the end of the Stay In School Challenge twenty-five eight grade students from each will have the opportunity to attend a college tour trip to Nashville. This trip aims to motivate the incoming freshman to work hard throughout their high school years so they can prepare to graduate and go to college.
