Doors to Open 90 Minutes Prior to Tip-Off For All Upcoming Postseason Games
MEMPHIS, May 3, 2011– The Memphis Grizzlies are encouraging
all fans to help them Whiteout FedExForum for Game 3 of the Western Conference
Semifinals on Saturday, May 7 at 4 p.m. All fans in attendance for Saturday’s
game will receive a white ‘Believe Memphis’ t-shirt presented by
Sonic Drive-Ins and Mid-South Chevy Dealers, while fans wishing to wear their
own white shirt or jersey may do so as well. All fans attending any Second Round
Playoff games at FedExForum will also receive a Round Two Gold Grizzlies Growl
Towel presented by First Tennessee Bank and Toyota.
Due to the enhanced security measures that have recently been put in place,
doors will open 90 minutes prior to tip-off for all Memphis Grizzlies home postseason
contests moving forward. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to allow them to
get to their seats and enjoy the most positive game-watching experience possible
with the enhanced security measures that are in place.
The Grizzlies will host a Bud Light Playoff Watch Party tonight beginning at
7:30 p.m., one hour prior to tonight’s 8:30 p.m. tip-off on TNT. Food
and beverages will be available for purchase at the Rock Round the Clock concession
in the FedEx Time Center as well as full bar options from the New Amsterdam
Bar, while Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Sports Bar will also be open for drinks
and viewing. Fans will be able to sit in the seats at FedExForum and watch on
Grizz Vision for a game-watching experience like none other. Attendees will
be joined by Grizz, the Grizz Girls and McDonald’s Claw Crew and will
have the opportunity to enjoy Grizzlies inflatables, face painters and balloon
artists. Free parking will be available in the Toyota Parking Garage located
on Linden Ave.
Likewise, the Playoff Party on the Plaza will continue for all upcoming Playoff
Home Games, with Plaza Parties beginning two hours prior to tip-off at FedExForum
and featuring live music, Grizz, the Grizz Girls, McDonald’s Claw Crew,
Grizzlies inflatables, face painters and balloon artists. Zach Myers of Shinedown
will reunite with his Memphis-based band, The Farewell, for Saturday’s
party and Speakerboxx will provide the musical entertainment on Monday. Verizon
Wireless, Budweiser and Toyota will also be on hand with special giveaway items.
The 2011 Grizzlies Playoffs are presented by First Tennessee and Toyota. See
