Postgame Quotes

Coach Hollins

On the game

"We had it in our clutches and our first four of six possessions in the fourth quarter were turnovers. We haven’t committed to sharing the basketball and making the right decisions and that puts too much pressure on the defense. We quit pushing the ball once we got the lead. It wasn’t pretty."

On the Grizzlies' play:

"We just haven't committed ourselves to sharing the basketball and making the right play."

Mike Conley

On the game

"t was really a physical game but that’s the way we play. We got a little selfish in the fourth quarter. We made a lot of bad turnovers and didn’t continue to play our transition game. We moved the ball well in the beginning, but in the fourth we got away from what was being successful for us in the first three quarters. But when there’s time on the clock no matter what time is left on the clock, anything can happen."

Zach Randolph

On the game:

"We played, I thought, really well in the first three quarters. But we have to learn how to close out a game. Overall it was an ugly game. A great deal of physical play. In the end we need to consistently all run the right play. We got away from passing the ball. We just didn’t get to it and continue it in the fourth."
