Mike Conley to host Bowl-N-Bash

MEMPHIS– Memphis Grizzlies guard Mike Conley is inviting basketball and bowling fans alike to join the fight against sickle cell at his Fourth Annual Bowl-n-Bash on Saturday, September 29 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at Andy B’s Bowling Center, formerly known as Bartlett Lanes (6276 Stage Road; Bartlett, 38134).

The event, presented by City Auto, will benefit the Methodist Healthcare Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center. The center provides a preventative outpatient clinic and is Memphis’ first dedicated emergency infusion unit specifically for adult sickle cell patients. The center is focused on delivering the most innovative clinical care and developing advanced treatment that will improve the quality of life for patients and their families living with sickle cell.

By taking part in the event, fans will not only do their part to fight against sickle cell disease, they will also get a chance to spend a fun-filled afternoon with Conley, his Grizzlies teammates and other special guests. Registration for the event is $75 for individuals or $300 for a team of four. All participants will receive a Bowl-n-Bash T-shirt. Sponsorship options are also available.

“I’m really looking forward to my teammates, coaches and Grizzlies fans joining me as we help fight this disease,” said Conley. “Fundraising for sickle cell is very important to me because two of my family members suffer from this disease.”
