Grizzlies Day at City Hall

MEMPHIS, TN - May 2, 2013 – In a sign of solidarity, Mayor A C Wharton, Jr. announced today that he has joined with Chairman Edmund Ford, Jr. and members of the Memphis City Council in declaring Friday, May 3 as “Memphis Grizzlies Day at City Hall.”

In recognition of the most successful regular season in franchise history and tomorrow’s Game Six contest against the L.A. Clippers, Memphis City Hall will help to tip-off the celebration for Friday night’s game at FedExForum.

The declaration allows all City employees to wear appropriate Grizzlies attire to work. All employees are encouraged to wear blue and yellow. City employees along with other Grizz Nation members are invited to join Grizz in a group photo with City officials at 11:30 a.m. at City Hall (125 N. Main St. Ste. 700 Memphis 38103). The photos will be shared with all employees and posted on social media. Attendees will be able to enjoy music and support some local food vendors until 1:00 p.m.

Due to the forecast for rain, this gathering will occur outside of the front doors of City Hall, under the building’s overhang.

Grizzlies’ fans are encouraged to guarantee their playoff tickets by purchasing 2013-14 Season Tickets. Season Tickets start at just $5 per game.
