Grizzlies announce 2016-17 broadcast schedule

The Memphis Grizzlies today announced that FOX Sports Southeast will televise 77 games during the 2016-17 regular season. Every game on FOX Sports Southeast will be presented by Pinnacle Financial Partners. Combined with five nationally-televised games, the team’s entire 82-game regular season slate will be available on local television.

Memphis will tip-off the 2016-17 season on FOX Sports Southeast against 2015-16 NBA Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at FedExForum. Coverage on FOX Sports Southeast begins at 6 p.m. with a special one-hour edition of the Grizzlies LIVE! pregame show presented by Mid-South Ford Dealers.

Grizz Nation will be able to follow the team across the NBA landscape for its entire 41-game road schedule. FOX Sports Southeast will televise a total of 38 road tilts, from the season’s first road contest against Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Madison Square Garden to the final regular season road tilt on Tuesday, April 4 against Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs.

Games will also be available on FOX Sports GO (FOXSportsGo.com), a free app that provides live streaming video of Memphis Grizzlies games through select programming distributors, as well as other FOX Sports programming. Fans can download the mobile app for free from the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Windows Store.

Play-by-play man Pete Pranica returns for his 13th season as the television voice of the Grizzlies, joined by analyst Brevin Knight, entering his seventh season. Sideline reporter Rob Fischer returns for his 10th season, while Sean Tuohy enters his 11th.

Grizzlies LIVE!, presented by Mid-South Ford Dealers, the pregame and postgame show for all 77 game telecasts, will be hosted by Fischer, Knight and Grind City Media digital host Chris Vernon, who will join the crew for all home game telecasts for the third straight season. New this season, Grind City Media Sr. Editor & Contributor Michael Wallace also will join the Grizzlies LIVE! crew during various broadcasts this year.

In addition, all 82 Grizzlies regular season games and all six preseason games will be carried live on 92.9 FM ESPN Radio, featuring play-by-play announcer Eric Hasseltine and analysts Hank McDowell, Elliot Perry and Grind City Media’s Michael Wallace. Coverage begins with the pregame show 30 minutes before tip-off co-hosted by Gary Darby and Jon Roser, who also will provide in-depth analysis throughout the postgame show following each game broadcast.

Grizzlies regular season games on FOX Sports Southeast will reach more than 6 million households throughout Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Kentucky, as well as parts of Missouri and Southern Illinois.
