Cavs Announce Lineup of Fun Giveaways and Exciting Theme Nights

It’s almost tip-off time at Quicken Loans Arena and the Cleveland Cavaliers are ready to welcome fans back for the 2015-16 season presented by Discount Drug Mart with a schedule full of fun giveaways and exciting theme nights! Adding to the highly anticipated return of Cavaliers basketball at The Q, this season’s promotional lineup features cool collectibles and memorable experiences for fans of ALL ages to enjoy.

Cavs fans have the chance to lock in seats to their favorite promotional nights when ALL 2015-16 regular season single game tickets go on sale on Wednesday, September 30th. The Cavaliers will offer an exclusive presale opportunity for fans to purchase single game tickets at 10:00 a.m., hours before they go on sale to the general public at noon. Current and new subscribers to Cavaliers Insider presented by Medical Mutual — the team’s free e-newsletter — will have priority access to purchase tickets on a first-come, first served basis and while supplies last.

This season’s promotional schedule highlights are detailed below, and Cavs fans can look forward to additional player promotional giveaways and theme nights to be announced at a later date.

FAN FAVORITE GIVEAWAYS!


T-Shirts, Bobbleheads, Mini Basketballs and More!

The excitement begins when the Cavs host the Miami Heat on Friday, October 30th at 7:00 p.m. for Opening Night presented by Kenda Tires. All fans in attendance will receive a 2015-16 Season Magnet Schedule presented by Kenda Tires and a Cavs T-shirt presented by Cleveland Clinic.

And that’s just the start! Throughout the season fans in attendance will take home great giveaways including a Fathead® 12” x 17” Mo Williams Decal on January 2nd and a mini basketball everyone is sure to “Love” on March 31st. To keep warm during a cold Cleveland winter, all fans will receive a Timofey Mozgov-inspired Winter Hat on January 23rd. On March 5th, Moondog and Sir C.C.’s Mascot Puppet giveaway is sure to be a slam dunk for all children 14 years old and under.

Collectors can look forward to Iman Shumpert’s and J.R. Smith’s first Cavaliers bobbleheads. Shumpert’s bobblehead will debut on Thursday, February 18th vs. Chicago and Smith will give a nod to fans on Wednesday, March 23rd vs. Milwaukee.

The 14th annual Fan Appreciation Night presented by Discount Drug Mart will take place on Wednesday, April 13th when the Cavs host the Detroit Pistons for the final home game of the regular season. The night is the Cavs signature celebration to recognize the support and enthusiasm of the best fans in the NBA! In true Fan Appreciation Night tradition, fans will have chances to win any of the $1 million worth of prizes distributed on-and-off the court throughout the night!

Shoot a Free Throw, Turn Back Time and more, at The Q!

Postgame Fan Free Throws
Each month fans of ALL ages can ‘go to the line’ on the Cavs court after the final buzzer to try their hand at a Postgame Fan Free Throw. The exciting opportunity to take a shot like a pro occurs six times throughout the regular season on November 8th, December 20th, January 27th, February 24th, March 5th and April 3rd.

Hardwood Classic Nights at The Q
The Cavs will throw it back to great moments in franchise history as they honor the 1974-80s Cavaliers during six Hardwood Classics Nights at The Q. Each night will focus on celebrating the team's early days with special in-game content and retro Hardwood Classics uniforms (Cavs special uniform assortment for the 2015-16 season will be announced separately in the near future). A Miracle of Richfield Celebration presented by FirstEnergy on March 4th will be entirely dedicated to the 1975-76 team who led the Cavaliers to their first playoff appearance and first Central Division title. All fans in attendance on March 4th will receive a commemorative Miracle of Richfield inspired t-shirt presented by FirstEnergy.

Theme Nights and Community Connections
During Hoops For Troops Night presented by Ohio CAT on Tuesday, November 10th, the Cavs and fans will unite to say “thank you” to the country’s servicemen and women.

The Cavs will hold their annual holiday Toy Drive during a stretch of three home games on Saturday, November 28th, Tuesday, December 1st and Tuesday, December 8th. Fans are invited to bring new, unwrapped toy donations to The Q to benefit children in need across Northeast Ohio. After the holidays, fans can assist with a Harvest For Hunger Food Drive to help the fight against hunger in the community on Tuesday, March 29th and Thursday, March 31st.

The 12th annual Black Heritage Celebration (BHC) will tip off on Monday, January 18th vs. Golden State with a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration and tribute to the late civil rights leader. Throughout February, the Cavs will focus on those who inspired past and current African American leaders, with a Black Heritage Celebration Culmination taking place on Monday, February 29th.

EveryFAN Night returns on March 29th for the fourth consecutive year to help recognize unsung heroes who strive to make a BIG difference throughout the Northeast Ohio community.
