To salute the brave men and women who serve our nation in the Armed Forces, the Cavaliers have announced that the Wine & Gold Scrimmage, the team’s annual intra-squad matchup, will be a private event exclusive to current military members and their families. The Wine & Gold Scrimmage, presented by FirstEnergy, will be held at Baldwin Wallace University’s newly renovated Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium, located inside the Lou Higgins Center, on Saturday, October 5th at 1:00 p.m. The Cavs are working with the United Service Organization (USO) of Northern Ohio to coordinate all ticket distribution.

“The Cavaliers are honored to host our local military and their families for this very special event,” said Cavs General Manager Chris Grant. “The Wine & Gold Scrimmage is an important preseason tradition for our team and our entire organization is looking forward to sharing it with our local troops this season.”

Fans will be treated to a special production of the Cavs’ award-winning game presentation, including performances by the Cavalier Girls and Scream Team, and appearances by Cavs mascots Moondog and Sir C.C. There will also be many fan activities and team interaction elements both on and off the court throughout the evening.
