Cavs Bring #AllForOhio Action to Columbus

The 2016 Champion Cleveland Cavaliers will once again make The Ohio State University’s The Schottenstein Center their “home away from home” for preseason action presented by IGS Energy when the Cavaliers head to Columbus to face the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, October 18th at 7:00 p.m. While in town, the Cavs are providing fans with several ways to express their #AllForOhio spirit before tipoff, including a FREE outdoor Fan Fest and opportunities to see the Cavs championship trophy in person!

FREE OUTDOOR CAVS FAN FEST
Schottenstein Center, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

There’s no party like a Cavs party! A ticket is NOT required for fans of ALL ages to enjoy the excitement of the FREE Cavs Fan Fest outside of The Schottenstein Center prior to the game.

  • Larry O’ Brien Championship Trophy display (Trophy will be displayed from 4:00p.m. – 6:00 p.m., weather permitting.)
  • Music, games and activities
  • Fan-favorite local food trucks and beer garden
  • Cavalier Girls and Scream Team appearances
  • Cavaliers Team Shop Truck to shop the latest Cavs fashion
  • Fox Sports Ohio fan interactives

HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
Cavs vs. Wizards, 7:00 p.m.

Doors to The Schottenstein Center will open at 5:30 p.m. for the preseason game, 90 minutes prior to tipoff. All fans in attendance will receive a wine-colored “All For Ohio” Cavaliers T-Shirt presented by IGS Energy.

  • Cavs in-arena hype man Ahmaad Crump and PA announcer Olivier Sedra will oversee the Cavaliers popular game entertainment show on the road
  • Performances by the Cavalier Girls dance team and high energy Scream Team hip-hop troupe
  • Cavs mascots Sir C.C. and Moondog bring their playful antics to Ohio’s capital city
  • The Larry O’Brien championship trophy will be on display on the main concourse at halftime

Tickets to catch the reigning NBA champions in Columbus for preseason are still available on Cavs.com/tickets, at the Schottenstein Center box office, via Ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster Charge-by-Phone at 1-800-745-3000. There is a (6) ticket limit per person. Additional fees may apply.

#AllForOhio Championship Trophy Photo Opportunity
Columbus Statehouse Rotunda, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, October 18th, the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy will be at the Columbus Statehouse Rotunda from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for fan to snap a photo with the trophy, using their own camera. The Cavs will accommodate as many fans as possible in the allotted time frame at each stop on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note, all bags, packages and personal items carried into the Statehouse are subject to inspection or x-ray.

Cavs Academy Youth Basketball Clinic presented by IGS Energy
Monday, October 17th, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

A Cavs Academy youth hoops basketball clinic presented by IGS Energy will be held at The Schottenstein Center for children of all skill levels in grades 1 – 6 on Monday, October 17th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Cavaliers coaches, with assistance from special appearances by Cavs players Kay Felder and Jordan McRae (subject to change), will train and assist clinic participants. Registration is limited and includes a full Cavs Academy uniform and ticket to the Cavaliers vs. Wizards game at the Schottenstein Center on Tuesday, October 18th at 7:00 p.m. For additional details and to register, please visit www.cavs.com/cavsacademy.
