The defending NBA Champion Cavaliers will try to go up 2-0 in their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night. Tipoff from Quicken Loans Arena is at 7:00 p.m. (ET).

Cleveland improved to 12-1 in their last 13 playoff games at Quicken Loans Arena after their 116-105 Game 1 victory against the Raptors.

In Game 1 against the Raptors, Cleveland assisted on 26 of 39 field goals, had 20 fast break points and shot 24-29 (.828) from the foul line. The Cavs shot 14-34 (.412) from beyond the arc in Game 1 against Toronto and is averaging 13.6 three-point field goals this postseason.

Toronto will aim to bounce back and even things up before the series shifts north of the border. Easier said than done for the Raptors as they have struggled against the Wine and Gold on the north coast during postseason play. In four playoff home games against Toronto, Cleveland has won by an average of 24.8 points (113.8-89.0) and has won by at least 10 points in each of those outings.

In fairness to Toronto, every Eastern Conference opponent has had trouble getting through the Cavaliers in recent history. Going back to the 2015 postseason, the Cavs hold a 29-4 playoff record against Eastern Conference opponents (16-1 mark at The Q over that span).

Cleveland hopes to keep their playoff momentum rolling on Wednesday. Cleveland enters Game 2 with a 5-0 record while averaging 113.4 points per game during the 2017 Playoffs.

In Game 1, Kyrie Irving recorded his first double-double of the 2017 postseason (2nd of playoff career) with 24 points, a playoff career-high 10 assists and two steals in 35 minutes. Irving, who has scored at least 20 points in 22 of his last 26 playoff contests, also passed Crain Ehlo (164) for the 3rd-most assists in playoff franchise history with his fifth helper of the night.

LeBron James has posted a double-double in all 5 games this postseason and tallied 35 points on 13-23 (.565) shooting, 10 rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block in 41 minutes in the Game 1 win over the Raptors. His 92 career postseason double-doubles are tied for 12th place in NBA Playoff history with Charles Barkley. He has 49 30-point double-doubles in the playoffs, tied with Shaquille O’Neal for the 3rd-most behind only Elgin Baylor (57) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (52). (Elias Sports Bureau)

Tristan Thompson has grabbed at least 10 rebounds in all five games so far in the 2017 Playoffs, which is the second-longest streak of his postseason career (7 straight from 5/26/15 to 6/16/15). In Game 1, Thompson notched his first double-double of the 2017 postseason (13th of playoff career) with 11 points, including a .833 (5-6) mark on free throws, a game-high 14 rebounds and two steals in 38 minutes.

In four games against Toronto (2016-17 regular season and Game 1), Kevin Love is averaging 20.8 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 35.0 minutes. Love is also shooting .920 (23-25) from the charity stripe against the Raptors.

The series shifts north of the border for the next two – with Game 3 slated for Thursday night at 7 p.m. and Game 4 for Sunday afternoon at 3:30, both at the Air Canada Centre. If necessary, Game 5 will be back in Cleveland next Tuesday (5/9), back in Toronto for Game 6 next Thursday (5/11) and Game 7 at Quicken Loans Arena the following Sunday (5/14).
