"There aren’t too many question marks for this Cavaliers squad heading into Training Camp. The talent level is as high as it’s been in franchise history, can compare with any current team in the league, and is loaded with veteran leadership.

But there are some queries surrounding the Wine and Gold as Camp tipped off on Saturday. One was how new head coach David Blatt would fare on his first day. The other – slightly more long-term – is about the Cavs’ backup big man situation.

Blatt was one of the most successful coaches in recent Euroleague history, putting up big win totals in three different countries – including international powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv – before being hired by the Cavs in late June. He’s yet to get his first win in the NBA, but after one day of practice, his new charges came away impressed." CLICK HERE to read full story.

LeBron James says fans "shouldn't be nervous" about his contract

"CLEVELAND, Ohio – LeBron James said Cavaliers fans "shouldn't be nervous at all, I plan on finishing my career back home."

James made the remark during an interview on CNN's Unguarded with Rachel Nichols, which aired Friday night. Nichols asked James if Cavaliers fans should be nervous about his short contract, a two-year, $42.1 million deal with a player option after one season – meaning James could theoretically leave via free agency in the summer of 2015.

"It was a business decision," James told Nichols. "They (Cavaliers fans) just got to get excited about this year, which is, I don't even need to say that."

James has made similar statements about potentially finishing his career in Cleveland – he's only 29 – but perhaps none more pronounced than what he said to Nichols." CLICK HERE to read full story.

"ABOUT LEBRON JAMES

LeBron James said his summer low-carb diet and weight loss has "nothing to do with basketball."

Maybe that's true.

Here's exactly what he said at Friday's media day: "Every summer I challenge myself to do something different that's outside the box. I stopped eating candy last summer, just no candy the whole summer. Just challenged myself to see if I could do it.

"So I decided to do this particular diet this summer for two months, it had nothing to do with basketball. Nothing at all. Once I set out a goal, I like to accomplish it. In the process I lost some weight and in the process the stories came out that I did it for basketball. But it did make me quicker, so it will help our team."

What do you think?" CLICK HERE to read full story.
