CLEVELAND, Ohio -- LeBron James' goggles lasted a little more than eight minutes against the Wizards, which was more than could be said for the Cavs.

Cleveland never really recovered from a dreadful defensive effort in the first quarter and lost to Washington, 127-115 Saturday night.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The night started with a bit of uncertainty after LeBron James' eye injury Friday night. But James, sporting goggles for protection, decided to play.

Not even a 41-minute effort from James, falling two assists shy of a triple-double was enough to turn around a dismal March. The Cavs are 6-8 in a month everyone in the organization worried about when the schedule was released. With three more games left, the Cavs will need to win them all to avoid their second losing month.

Here are five observations:

Tyronn Lue would like to get Tristan Thompson's minutes down, but he's 'only center we have'

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Shortly after taking over as head coach last season, Tyronn Lue made the decision to keep bringing Tristan Thompson off the bench. It was all part of Lue's big-picture plan to limit the pounding on Thompson and keep him fresh for the postseason. That's been the Cleveland Cavaliers' goal this season as well.

Only it hasn't been possible. Not with Thompson anyway.

"We just have to try to figure out ways to get him off the floor like last night, getting his minutes down," Lue said Saturday night. "Then getting him off the floor tonight trying to do the same thing. He's the only center we have. He has to play right now." - CLICK HERE to read full story.
