INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- The individual accolades keep piling up for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the early part of the 2016-17 season, as head coach Tyronn Lue was named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month.

Lue, named the recipient for the first time in his career, led the Cavs to a 13-3 start, the best mark in the East and tied for the best 16-game start in franchise history.

The Cavs opened their title defense season with six wins before capping the season's first month with a head-scratching blowout loss against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Author: Joe Vardon
Publication: Cleveland.com

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- You're from Cleveland, so you've seen Major League.

That's where we are with the Cavs this morning. They've given up their granny with this now three-game losing streak -- their longest in one year and the first under coach Tyronn Lue -- and LeBron James reacted with a statement that probably makes you nod your head in approval and whisper "bout time."

Jones told the Beacon Journal he will retire after next season, which will be his 15th in the NBA. His ultimate dream is to ride off after three consecutive championships in Cleveland, he said Friday before the Cavaliers played the Chicago Bulls, although clearly there is a lot of work to do before that happens.
