Kyrie Irving still has a lot of explaining to do -- Bud Shaw's Spinoffs

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Kyrie Irving and Kobe Bryant have collaborated on a shoe release: The "Bruce Lee" Kyrie 3 edition.

I know you're excited but hold on. Irving explains why in a video in which he references Kobe's "mentorship" and finishes by saying, "All love, everybody. Let's get it."

First in line: no Cavs fans.

* Irving doesn't seem to get that he's hurting himself by not explaining his decision to ask out. The shoe video just adds more fuel to the notion that he's more worried about his brand than his basketball legacy. - CLICK HERE to read full story.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, unafraid of using his voice and platform on social and political issues, called the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia "sad" while also expressing concern for the country late Saturday night.

"It's sad what's going on in Charlottesville," James tweeted to his 37.5 million followers. "Is this the direction our country is heading? Make America Great Again huh?! He said that."

To drive his tweet home, one that references President Donald Trump's campaign slogan, James capped it with an emoji of a man facepalming. - CLICK HERE to read full story.

Report: Kyrie Irving most likely to land with Suns if Cavaliers trade him
Author: Jeff Schudel
Publication: News-Herald

It’s mid-August, and Kyrie Irving is still a Cavalier. Maybe he’ll change his mind about wanting to be traded after seeing pictures of the snazzy new uniforms he’ll get to wear if he stays. Probably not.

Former Cavaliers general manager David Griffin, who currently does not have a front-office job in the NBA, believes Irving will be traded. Griffin, speaking on ESPN’s “The Jump,” defended Irving. Most critics believe “Ky-me” is whiny for not wanting to play with LeBron James and the Cavaliers, who give him the best chance to win an NBA championship.

“I think Kyrie’s going to end up getting traded,” Griffin said. “I don’t think this is youth and ignorance. This is a guy who handled the situation exactly like he was supposed to. He went to Dan Gilbert privately and told him he thought he would be happier somewhere else. The worst thing this guy could have done is pretend to be all in and sink the ship from within.” - CLICK HERE to read full story.

Jim Ingraham: Keeping Kyrie Irving might be the Cavaliers' best option

The question the Cavs must ask themselves regarding renegade point guard Kyrie Irving is this: “How much of our nose do we want to cut off to spite our face?”

It’s been a few weeks now since Irving sent the needle on the audacity meter spinning out of control by not only asking the Cavs to trade him, but giving them a list of his preferred destinations.

This from a player with absolutely no leverage at all.

Irving, who still has two years left on his contract, apparently was the only person in Cleveland who was unhappy when LeBron James returned to the Cavs, shortly after Irving signed a max contract with the understanding that HE would be The Man in this rodeo. - CLICK HERE to read full story.
