Cavaliers announce 2017-18 NBA preseason schedule

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cavaliers unveiled Thursday their preseason schedule for the 2017-18 NBA season.

It opens at home Wednesday, Oct. 4 vs. the Atlanta Hawks. The Cavs will play five preseason games, including three at The Q.

LeBron James developing sneaker store comedy for HBO

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- LeBron James and Maverick Carter's next television venture is a sitcom about a sneaker store in Los Angeles. SpringHill Entertainment, the production company founded by the Cavaliers superstar and his longtime business partner, is developing the still untitled show for HBO.

The series, first reported by Deadline, is described as a half-hour, single-camera comedy about two best friends who open a sneaker store where they and "their wild employees take on the insane and obsessive world of sneaker culture."

The program is being written by Shawn Wines ("High Maintenance") and Lemon Andersen ("She's Gotta Have It") with James and Carter listed as executive producers.- CLICK HERE to read full story.

Cavaliers to open 2017-18 regular season at home against Boston Celtics; visit Warriors on Christmas

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland Cavaliers will open the 2017-18 regular season at home on Tuesday, Oct. 17, against the Boston Celtics -- a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference Finals.

Opening Night tipoff will be at 8 p.m. ET. The game will be the first of TNT's doubleheader, followed by the Golden State Warriors hosting the Houston Rockets.

The Celtics, widely expected to be the Cavs' biggest obstacle to a fourth consecutive NBA Finals appearance, retooled their roster this summer, luring prized free agent Gordon Hayward from Utah and adding third-overall pick Jayson Tatum in the 2017 NBA Draft. - CLICK HERE to read full story.
