Five Keys: Cavaliers at Wizards ‑ Feb. 20, 2015
1 / 5With still 27 games to go, there’s still plenty of time for Cleveland to make its mark on the standings. But the Wine and Gold can make a pretty significant leap on Friday night. As both teams come out of the All-Star Break, the Cavaliers sit one-half game behind the Wizards for the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race (with both teams still double-digit games behind the front-running Hawks). The former first-round playoff rivals have faced each other twice this season – splitting the pair with each team winning on its home court. In their first meeting at the Verizon Center, Washington held the Wine and Gold to 78 points. Cleveland made up for that effort at The Q – dropping 113 points on Washington and topping them by 26. But both teams are vastly different than they were since those meetings. The Cavs come into Friday’s game winners of 14 or their last 16. The Wizards have dropped six of eight heading into the break.
