Cavaliers and National Basketball Academy Expand 2011 Summer Basketball Camps and Clinics with More "Sessions"

CLEVELAND, OH - May 2nd, 2011 - Grab a water bottle and throw on some sneakers, the National Basketball Academy again will host the official 2011 Cleveland Cavaliers Summer Camps Program presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods! Due to the popularity and success of the camps, there will now be 21 sessions offered across Northeast Ohio beginning June 13th. Cavs guard Ramon Sessions, will make a special appearance to pass his knowledge to the campers at two of the camps; an overnight camp starting June 19th and a day camp on June 20th.

Campers will be teamed up by age, skill and gender when possible, ranging in ages from 7-16 years old. The camp curriculum will feature skill development stations such as shot mechanics, ball handling, passing, defense and rebounding. Campers’ progress will be tested by daily skill competitions, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games, and each camp will feature guest speakers to engage and motivate the youngsters. Participants will also receive a ticket to a 2011-12 season Cavs game, a skills packet, a Cavs t-shirt and their very own basketball.
