Wolves Recall Adreian Payne from NBA Development League’s Erie BayHawks

Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the club has recalled forward Adreian Payne from the Erie BayHawks of the NBA Development League.

Payne appeared in three games with the BayHawks, averaging 26.3 points, on 44.4% shooting, 9.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.3 steals in 35.0 minutes per contest. Payne was assigned to the club on January 25, 2016 pursuant to the Flexible Assignment Rule.

Payne has appeared in 30 games with the Wolves this season, averaging 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 9.5 minutes per game. The Wolves originally acquired the 6-10 forward from Atlanta via trade on February 10, 2015. Payne played in 29 games last season for the Wolves, registering averages of 7.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest.
