Timberwolves & Lynx Basketball Academy Announces 2015 Summer Schedule

Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves & Lynx Basketball Academy tips off its 2015 summer schedule with a slate of more than 20 youth basketball camps held in communities throughout Minnesota. The summer schedule includes the first-ever intensive basketball camp held in partnership with J Robinson Camps, which will follow the principles and model of the nationally-recognized intensive wrestling camp program.

The Academy offers gender-specific camps as well as co-ed options and are open to a variety of age groups and skill levels. For athletes playing in competitive basketball leagues, the Academy offers Advanced Skills Clinics designed to challenge these students to perform at a higher level. The Academy also hosts a Mini Dribblers clinic for younger students (grades K-2nd), which includes an appearance by Timberwolves mascot Crunch.

The Academy has partnered with J Robinson Intensive Camps to offer a new 21-day camp from July 5-25 at St. Catherine University in St. Paul. University of Minnesota’s J Robinson brings his 35+ years of experience to create a training program that teaches leadership and character building skills to help young athletes succeed in many other areas outside of sports. Participants will stay overnight for the duration of the camp, going through four intense training sessions per day focusing on skill development, physical conditioning and mental toughness. Due to housing restrictions, the 2015 J Robinson Intensive Basketball Camp is open to males only, ages 14-18. For more information and to register, visit www.intensivebasketballcamps.com.
