Three Questions With Mo Williams

KR: Why did you decide to sign with Minnesota?

MW: Well, it’s a really good situation for me. The Timberwolves really showed a lot of interest in me along with other teams. I feel like it was a great situation for me to come in and give all of my expertise to this ball club. Playing basketball and also mentoring. Both things I love to do

KR: This team had some struggles scoring off the bench last season and obviously you’re a pretty good scorer. Do you think you can help that second unit in the scoring department?

MW: That’s what I do best. I pride myself on being a good all-around player but obviously I know where my strength lies and that’s on the offensive end and that’s what this team expects me to bring. At the end of the day I have to bring my best to the game each and every day.

KR: Obviously you’ve been through a lot in your NBA career. Deep runs in the playoffs. Six different teams. All-Star. You’ve been a sixth man. What can you bring to this young Wolves team as far as being a mentor goes?

MW: I think all of what you just said. I can go down the roster and I can relate to each and every one of those guys… I’ve been in all situations. I can give some kind of support and some kind of soothing music to someone’s ears to help make them feel better about the situation.
