Three Questions With Damjan Rudez

Editor's Note: Our Kyle Ratke was able to chat with newly-acquired forward Damjan Rudez at this year's Media Day. Here's a bit of their conversation.

KR: You’re new to the Wolves and this is just your second year in the league. For fans who might not know your game, what do you bring as a player?

DR: Well, I’m a team player. I like to pass the ball. And I’m a shooter. Primarily a shooter. I think my 3-point shooting is my biggest quality and that’s something I hope to contribute to the team.

KR: Is that what you think will separate you from the other forwards on the team to get you some minutes at a crowded power forward spot?

DR: Yeah, hopefully. I know my strengths and weaknesses and I found my niche in the last couple of years. I know what I can bring to the table. But yeah, I hope that that’s the thing that will put me on the court.

KR: You went through kind of the same thing last season that Nemanja (Bjelica) is going through now. You weren’t a 20-year-old rookie, you were 28. Do you think you’ll be able to help him through the first year of playing here?

DR: Sure, but he also has so much experience because both of us played for almost 10 years in Europe on a high level and over there, you meet the demands of every day professionalism on a high level. I’m sure that his transition is going to be as smooth as mine was. And hopefully he’s going to have a great year for us here.
