Welcome To Timberwolves Fan Central At The State Fair!

The Minnesota State Fair opened up its gates on Thursday in St. Paul, and the Minnesota Timberwolves were ready for their fans to come and enjoy the festivities at Fan Central. Located near the corner of Dan Patch Ave. and Underwood St., the Fan Central building hosts a number of sports teams including the Timberwolves. The Wolves have a record amount of merchandise on hand this year, including hats, shirts, jerseys, pennants and other memorabilia. “We absolutely love the State Fair every year, but this year it seems like there is more buzz, more excitement around the fans coming out and seeing us,” Wolves Event Marketing Manager Jon Hanson said. “People want to come and talk Timberwolves basketball, and we’re here to do that. With all the additions to the team, we know it’s going to be a fun year. And it’s fun to see the fans come out and enjoy that with us.” The State Fair runs from Aug. 23 through Labor Day, Sept. 3. Along with the merchandise store, Wolves fans can challenge their friends to shooting contests at one of two free-throw machines, take photos with the Minnesota Lynx’s 2011 WNBA Championship trophy or browse and purchases a number of ticket options. Among the ticket promotions is the $3 Brandon Roy season ticket packages. Fans that visit the Timberwolves booth at the Minnesota State Fair can purchase 2012-13 season tickets for only $3 per game. Located in sections 219-223 and 239-209, ticket packages are $129 and only 100 seats will be available, with a maximum of four tickets per account. The first 50 buyers will received a limited edition Brandon Roy autographed print. The Timberwolves also opened up their 12-game Flex Pack to the public on Thursday. The Flex Pack allows fans to pick and choose their preferred game dates and opponents, pick their preferred seating/price level and pick their preferred number of seats per game. The package includes a minimum of 12 games and starts as low as $108. For a limited time, Flex Pack buyers will receive complimentary tickets to the Wolves Home Opener on Friday, Nov. 2 vs. Sacramento. Additionally, fans that purchase 16 games will receive 5% off their total order, while buyers of 20 games will receive 10% off. The buzz around the Wolves is noticeable over at Fan Central, and the organization looks forward to spending the next 10 days with its fans at the State Fair. “It’s absolutely amazing, just the excitement level around the team and all the fans that are coming in and asking questions,” graphic designer Emilie Rainsberry said. “They’re way more interested. I’ve been here for six seasons coming to the Fair, and it’s just grown so much as far as merchandise and the signage we have around here. More people coming in and asking questions. It’s fun, it’s great.”
