Timberwolves & Sanford Health To Host Preseason Game In Fargo

The Minnesota Timberwolves will return to the FARGODOME this fall, marking the franchise's first trip back to the area since 2002. The Wolves will take on the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. Sanford Health will serve as the presenting sponsor of the game. "The Timberwolves are thrilled to be returning to Fargo this fall, especially teaming with the great people at Sanford Health," Timberwolves President Chris Wright said. "We've played more exhibition games in the state of North Dakota than anywhere else in the country besides our home arena, and are continually impressed by the phenomenal basketball fans in the region. The Wolves and Pacers are both exciting young teams and will put on a great show for the fans this fall."

Tickets for the game will go on sale Friday, July 27 at 10 a.m. Ticket prices range from $13.50 to $191.50 and can be purchases at the FARGODOME Box Office, online at www.INFORUMTIX.com or by phone at (855) MYINFORUM [855-694-6367]. This year's game will mark the Timberwolves' seventh appearance in Fargo, where they've compiled a 2-4 record in exhibition play. The Wolves first visited Fargo during the inaugural 1989-90 season, and have maintained a strong relationship with both the city and the state of North Dakota since the franchise's inception. Overall, this will be the Wolves' 16th game in North Dakota, more than any state other than Minnesota, including four visits to Bismarck, three exhibitions in Grand Forks and two stops in Minot. Minnesota's most recent visit to the state came in an 111-107 win over Denver in Bismarck in 2008, with the last stop in Fargo coming in an 88-82 win over Milwaukee in 2002.

"Sanford's partnership with the Minnesota Timberwolves began in 2008 and continues to grow," Sanford Health Executive Vice President Andrew Richburg said. "Providing health and athletic performance expertise through player hydration assessments and team consulatations, we couldn't be more proud to work with the Timberwolves and Lynx and look forward to being a part of their continued success."
