Timberwolves To Host Draft Party Featuring Live Show Broadcast

The Wolves will host their annual draft party on Thursday, June 27 on the main floor of Target Center. The party, hosted by Wolves broadcasters Dave Benz and Alan Horton, will also feature Wolves Draft Live 2013, a unique, live interactive broadcast. The Timberwolves Dancers and mascot Crunch will also be in attendance. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the draft starting at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

For those unable to attend the draft party, the Timberwolves will produce a live show, Wolves Draft Live 2013, timberwolves.com/draft for the fourth consecutive year. The Wolves were the first team to have such a show when it debuted in 2010.

Wolves Draft Live 2013, hosted by Timberwolves.com editor/writer Mark Remme and Timberwolves radio studio host John Focke, will feature an information-packed show focusing on the Wolves' two first-round draft picks and providing a live look into the Wolves Draft Room throughout the night. Remme and Focke will answer questions from fans that are submitted via timberwolves.com, Twitter (@MNTimberwolves) and Cover It Live. They will also welcome on media guests, show the top videos from the 2012-13 season and get fan react ion to the draft picks from those attending the draft party.

Fans attending the draft party can also play interactive games and purchase food, beverages and Timberwolves merchandise. There will also be a silent auction where fans can bid on Wolves memorabilia.

The Timberwolves have the 9th and 26th picks in the first round and the 52nd and 59th overall picks in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft.
