Job Posting: Interactive Designer

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Minnesota Timberwolves & Minnesota Lynx are seeking an energetic, self motivated designer to assist the manager of interactive services and the senior vice president of marketing and communications with implementing all of the interactive initiatives for both organizations.

The Interactive Designer is a valued member of our creative marketing and communications team. This designer should have a thorough knowledge of Actionscript and Flash, CSS and the ability to actively contribute to crafting professional grade interactive experiences in a fast-paced working environment.

As the Interactive Designer, you will produce projects of scale ranging from site updates, banner ads, interactive Flash applications, to full blown web based marketing campaigns. Our crew is constantly evolving to stay on the bleeding edge of all things web, and committed to providing our fans the best online experiences.AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (include but are not limited to)
• Perform site updates
• Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Willing to edit existing code, and able to interpret existing logic
• Able to develop using AS2 & AS3
• Concept, design and execute appropriate user experiences
• Create and manipulate images and files with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop CS+, Illustrator CS+, Dreamweaver, etc)
• Design and develop using existing and emerging web technologies (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, RSS, etc)
• Undertake other tasks as requested by your team leads
• Contribute to an environment that is conducive to producing breakthrough ideas
• Maintain a positive, friendly attitudeREQUIREMENTS
• Passionate about online design and development
• Possesses animation skills and an understanding of visual rhythm and motion design
• A good communicator (written and verbal)
• Is resourceful and enjoys sharing knowledge with other team members
• Detail-oriented
• Looking for challenging work
• Willing to work nights and weekends to meet deadlines and keep up with the fast-paced sports industry
• 2+ years of design and development experience
