Taquan Dean Workout Interview

2006 Wolves Draft Central

After working out for the Timberwolves, along with C.J. Watson, Eric Hicks, and Terence Dials, Louisville's Taquan Dean (right) talked with Timberwolves.com about the draft.

timberwolves.com: How have workouts gone for you so far?

Taquan Dean: Good, it’s good to see the different styles going into each workout. This one was, by far, one of the toughest. Kevin Garnett needs a shooter, and I said I can do it, but at the same time, I came in here trying to get better.

timberwolves.com: Was it nice for you to see a familiar face (former Louisville assistant coach and current Wolves assistant coach Vince Taylor) while you worked out here?

Taquan Dean: I felt more comfortable coming in here, knowing that I’d been with him for three years. It was good to come into this atmosphere, but at the same time I wanted to prove what I could do.

timberwolves.com: Last year your Louisville teammate Francisco Garcia was a first round pick, have you sought him out for advice as you go through the draft process?

Taquan Dean: Definitely, actually, I went through it with him last year, just training and stuff like that. It’s a tough process, there’s a lot of players out there, you just have to be in the right spot at the right time.
