2013 Wolves Summer Caravan Hits Road On Aug. 13

The Timberwolves are set to embark on the 2013 U.S. Bank/Minnesota Timberwolves Summer Caravan, supported by Fox Sports North. The Caravan hits the road on Tuesday, August 13 and makes stops in Rochester, Duluth and Fargo. Wolves forwards Chase Budinger and Dante Cunningham will headline this summer's Caravan events. Over the past 23 years, the Timberwolves Caravan has made 100 stops across Minnesota and the upper Midwest. The U.S. Bank/Timberwolves Caravan, supported by Fox Sports North, is designed to thank Wolves fans in Minnesota for their continued support. The Caravan features an array of activities in three communities outside the Twin Cities metro area. Among the events slated for the tour are free basketball clinics that are open to the public, autograph sessions following the conclusion of the clinics, and appearances by Timberwolves mascot Crunch. After the Caravan opens on August 13 in Rochester, the tour heads north to Duluth on Wednesday, August 14 and concludes in Fargo on Thursday, August 15. Participants ages 5-16 are welcome to the clinics and no registration is required. Photo and autograph opportunities will be available. Timberwolves merchandise will be available at a cost. Along with Budinger and Cunningham, player development coach Shawn Respert is scheduled to participate in the Caravan. In addition, Crunch, the team's official mascot, and Timberwolves front-office staff are slated to take part. Crunch will be making special visits at various sites in each community. Budinger, Cunningham and Respert will be available for interviews at the conclusion of each clinic.
