Bjelica Helps Serbia Advance To Semifinals

Timberwolves forward Nemanja Bjelica had another impressive performance for Serbia on Wednesday, helping his squad to an 89-75 win over Czech Republic to advance to the 2015 EuroBasket semifinals.

In 28 minutes, “Professor Big Shots” finished with 14 points, a team-high 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals. He shot 5-of-8 from the field, 2-of-5 from the three-point line and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line.

Serbia and Bjelica need to win in the semifinals to clinch a spot in the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

That game will come on Thursday at 2p.m. CT against the winner of Italy and Lithuania. That game can be streamed on WatchESPN

In EuroBasket games, Bjelica is averaging 14.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. He’s shooting 61.9 percent (39-of-63) from the field, 38.1 percent (8-of-21) from the three-point line and 81 percent (17-of-21) from the free-throw line.
