Where He’ll Go:

Dunn is projected as a top-5 pick.

Best Game In 2015-16

In a Dec. 2 89-66 win over Hartford, Dunn was great for Providence, finishing with an efficient 16 points while shooting 8-for-12 from the field. Sixteen points isn’t that impressive on its own, though, right? Well, how about 14 assists, 10 rebounds, three steals and a block? It was Dunn’s only triple-double of the season.

Strengths

Dunn’s body is NBA ready. He’s super athletic, which kind of sets his game up for everything else. He’s great in transition – there’s a lot of speed here. He’s a true point guard, something that is rare in today’s NBA.

He’s improved his 3-point shot over the years, but still isn’t a huge threat from deep. He swiped more than two steals per game and has all of the tools to be a very, very good defensive player for years to come.

Weaknesses

Shooting isn’t a strong point for him, but with better shooters around him, that won’t be as highlighted as much in the NBA. Spacing should help him as he’s got the speed to get to the basket. He’s prone to turnovers, turning it over about six times per 100 possessions. In all fairness, that’s down from 7.5 in his sophomore season.

Ratke’s Take

Dunn told Timberwolves.com at the combine that he has met with the Timberwolves and if he were to get drafted by the team, he’d be excited for the opportunity to play with so many young and talented players.

“I mean, as a team, they’re young,” Dunn said. “They’re very talented. They have a bunch of athletes on that team. You can definitely see, they’re ready to blossom. They have so many great players. Karl-Anthony Towns is a phenomenal player. (So is) Andrew Wiggins. They’re all great players. I think they just got a good coach.”
