The Phoenix Suns will tip off the 2016-17 season, and the club’s 49th NBA campaign, when they host the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Single-game tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday, August 19, at noon, on Suns.com and by phone at 602-379-SUNS.

Phoenix is scheduled to appear on national television a total of 11 times, including two games on TNT, two games on ESPN, and seven on NBA TV.
The NBA announced last month that the Suns will make history when the team hosts consecutive games in Mexico City during the 2016-17 NBA season. Phoenix will take on the Dallas Mavericks (Jan. 12) and San Antonio Spurs (Jan. 14) in the first back-to-back regular-season games in Mexico, which represents the first time in league history that two regular-season contests will be played in Mexico in the same season.

The Suns’ 39-game home schedule is highlighted by visits from the NBA’s premier teams, including the defending NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers (Jan. 8) and Western Conference Champion Golden State Warriors (Oct. 30, Apr. 5). Phoenix will renew Western Conference rivalries with home contests against the San Antonio Spurs (Dec. 15), Oklahoma City Thunder (Mar. 3, Apr. 7), Los Angeles Clippers (Feb. 1, Mar. 30), Houston Rockets (Dec. 21, Apr. 2) and Los Angeles Lakers (Feb. 15, Mar. 9). Phoenix will also take on each Eastern Conference team at Talking Stick Resort Arena throughout the season, including matchups with the Chicago Bulls (Feb. 10), Miami Heat (Jan. 3), Boston Celtics (Mar. 5) and Atlanta Hawks (Nov. 30).
Seventeen of the Suns’ 39 home contests will be played from Friday through Sunday, including six Friday night home games, three Saturday home games and eight Sunday home games. Phoenix’s home schedule includes a season-long five-game homestand from Mar. 2-9, where the Suns will host the Charlotte Hornets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics, Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Lakers. Phoenix will close out the season with 13 of its final 22 regular season games, including four of its final five, at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
The Suns’ road schedule includes two six-game road trips, with the first coming early in the season from Nov. 13-23 that features trips to Golden State, Denver, Indiana, Philadelphia, Washington and Orlando. Phoenix will head east for their second six-game road trip from Mar. 19-28 when they take on Detroit, Miami, Brooklyn, Boston, Charlotte and Atlanta. The Suns will play their final regular-season home game against Dallas (Apr. 9) before heading to Sacramento for a matchup with the Kings (Apr. 11) to close out the regular season. Phoenix will play 14 back-to-back sets this season, matching the total from last season and the fewest games played on zero days rest in team history.
FOX Sports Arizona remains the exclusive local television home of the Suns, both at home and on the road, continuing a partnership that began with the 2003-04 season. The “Voice of the Suns” Al McCoy will call his 45th season of Suns’ action on the team’s flagship radio station, Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.
Home games, except on Sundays and nationally televised games, will tip off at 7 p.m. Sunday home game times will vary, while times for any individual game may change based on the NBA’s national television schedule.
