Suns Introduce Dynamic Pricing With Single-Game Ticket On-Sale

Posted: Sept. 13, 2010

Single-game tickets for the 2010-11 regular season go on sale Friday, September 17 at 12 noon through all Suns ticket outlets.

For the second consecutive season the Suns will utilize variable pricing for single-game tickets, while adding a dynamic pricing component.

The new pricing model is designed to provide fans with increased value and flexibility, while more accurately reflecting the value of the games. Pricing will be based on a number of variables including opponent, day of the week and time of season and will increase or decrease with demand.

For example, weekend game tickets — especially against high-profile opponents — will retain a higher value. Whereas, weekday game tickets versus non-playoff teams from last season, will cost less. As such, tickets will be priced in five tiers: Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

At the time of on sale, more than 30 games will feature a lower average single-game ticket price than last season.

Following the September 17 single-game ticket on sale, demand for specific games and seat locations will be evaluated and pricing will be adjusted throughout the season.

Under the new pricing model, Suns season-ticket prices will not increase for the 2010-11 season. Although tickets for each game will be priced above and below the average ticket price, the total the price for all 44 Suns home games will remain the same. Season-ticket holders have not seen a price increase in two years.

Furthermore, season-ticket holders that choose to share or resell a portion of their tickets will benefit from the shift to variable pricing and should make it easier to recoup the value.
