Audition Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age by Saturday, August 15
- Must be a high school graduate
- Required attire for prelims, semi-finals, training camp, and finals is a half top of any style, form-fitting shorts or skirt, and shoes with non-marking soles. Prep class attire is up to the dancer’s discretion.
- Must submit a non-returnable individual photo (headshot preferred) at least 5x7 in size
- Must submit a non-returnable dance resume with 3 of the following references: dance reference, professional work reference, and personal reference
- Hair and makeup should be sophisticated and glamorous. You are encouraged to bring touchup makeup and hair products because you will be sweating before the actual audition.
- Being a Suns Dancer is a year round commitment so you must have a flexible schedule and be able to attend community appearances, most home games, and all practices
- Must live in the Phoenix area and have reliable means of transportation

Saturday, August 15
8:30-9:00am – Registration
9:00am-4:00pm (approx) – Preliminary Audition

The preliminary round will consist of learning the audition routine which will include both jazz and hip hop choreography. Dancers will audition in small groups for a panel of judges where first cuts will be made. Those making it to the next round will perform the routine again in smaller groups for the judges. Another round of cuts will be made. Dancers making it through the second round of cuts will be asked to return Sunday, August 16 for Semi-Finals.

Each semi-finalist will be given an interview time on Saturday. Attire for the interviews is up to the dancer’s discretion but you are expected to dress professionally and appropriately. The interviews will be approx 10 min in length. After interviewing, dancers will have a photo shoot session with the team’s photographer. When the interviews and photo shoot are complete, dancers will be asked to change into dance clothes and wait for the performance part of the day to begin. The semi-finalists will perform the audition routine learned on Saturday again for judges along with 6 eight counts of original choreography. Dancers will be given the chosen choreography song on Saturday. The dancers who will be asked to attend training camp will be announced at the end of the day.
Tuesday, August 18 and Thursday, August 20
7:00-10:00pm – Training Camp
Other details for training camp will be made available after the finalists are announced on Sunday. Both nights are mandatory!
Fan voting will begin the week of training camp after finalists are announced and posted on Suns.com.
