Babby, Suns Welcome New Phoenix Symphony Maestro

Suns President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby took a brief respite from directing the team's affairs just long enough to recognize a master conductor of a different venue.

Last week Babby welcomed Tito Muñoz, the new Phoenix Sympony Maestro, to the valley with a jersey presentation before the second of his consecutive sold-out performances last week. Fittingly, the jersey sports the same number as the Suns' own "maestro", Goran Dragic.

Muñoz's arrival and subsequent performances were met with rave reviews from The Arizona Republic, East Valley Tribune, Huffington Post, and Broadway World.

Babby added his own glowing summation to the list.

"As a lover of classical music, it was a great honor for me to welcome Tito Muñoz to Phoenix in our traditional Suns way by presenting him with our jersey," Babby said. "He is a great free agent addition to our community."

The 31-year-old Muñoz returned the sentiments, stating he "could not be more thankful for the welcome I received from the community."

"I am excited to be a part of this world-class orchestra  and a thriving Arizona," he said.
