Warren Goes for 40 in Latest Bakersfield Assignment

D-League opponents might as well give up trying to stop T.J. Warren from scoring. Their best hope now is simply to prevent him setting new career-highs.

The Suns' rookie out of North Carolina State went off for 40 points on Friday night in the Jam's 110-102 win over Oklahoma City. Warren's new D-League high was hardly a forced affair; the 14th pick from this year's draft shot an efficient 16-of-26 from the floor and added eight rebounds, two steals and a block in the process.

Warren has put up 26.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 54.5 percent from the field over nine games with the Jam this season.

Fellow first-year player Tyler Ennis was equally impactful for Bakersfield. The former Syracuse standout put up 20 points, six assists, five rebounds and one steal while committing just two turnovers in 36 minutes of play.

Ennis is now averaging 18.4 points, 5.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game for Bakersfield this season.
