Suns, APS Renovate Boys & Girls Club Gym in Bisbee

The Arizona community once again saw the Phoenix Suns and APS team up under The Rebound Project, an initiative that focuses on building and improving basketball courts for local youth.

The Boys & Girls Club of Bisbee was the 12th and latest recipient of the effort, which saw Suns players Alex Len and Archie Goodwin join Suns President Jason Rowley, APS Vice President of Communication John Hatfield and Bisbee Mayor Ron Oertle to celebrate the project's completion.

The multipurpose room and game room of the Boys & Girls Club of Bisbee received resurfacing, sealant and waxing. The multipurpose room also received some extra Suns flair, including a basketball court with purple keys and white lines. The game room now includes Hopscotch and Four Square areas. The main basketball court now boasts two new hoops with glass backboards, with Suns and APS logos adorning the backboards and the court itself.

As the lone year-round recreational facility in Bisbee, The Boys & Girls Club offers free and reduced meal programs that provide 9,000 meals and 8,000 snacks to children in the community each year.
