On Arizona Sports: Knight on Short and Long-Term Future

Here's what Suns fans already know about Brandon Knight: he can score and he's smart.

The unknowns lie ahead, though some are closer to resolving themselves than others. The potential of Knight's game in a Phoenix uniform is easy to see, especially after his 20-point outing agains the Celtics on Monday night. Even after his successful home debut, the 6-3 guard told Arizona Sports 98.7 FM that he is hoping for more than individual success with his new team.

Knight Stuffs It Home

"I’m kind of like a Swiss Army knife," Knight said. "I feel like I can defend, get guys the ball, shoot, get to the basket. I think there’s a lot of things I can do, but I think my most important attribute is doing my best to help the team win games."

At just 23 years old, the hope is that Knight can apply his versatility on Phoenix's behalf for years to come. When asked about his long-term view of a future in Phoenix, he acknowledged why staying would be an attractive option.

"They’ve got a lot of good talent, a lot of good pieces here, so I could definitely see myself being here long-term," Knight said. "A good coaching staff, as well. We’ve just got to see what happens."
