1)      New Orleans (29-41) will try to continue its recent winning ways and cap a sweep of a three-game homestand tonight, facing the Memphis Grizzlies at 7 p.m. Tickets are available here.

2)      New Orleans will hold shootaround this morning in Metairie. Pelicans guard Quinn Cook will be the player guest on the Pelicans’ “Shootaround Show,” which is available at 11 a.m. Central on Pelicans.com, the team app and Facebook Live.

3)      The Pelicans moved to within 4.0 games of eighth place in the Western Conference standings by virtue of Monday’s one-point loss by Denver (33-37) at Houston. New Orleans still has three games remaining vs. Denver (March 26, April 4 and April 7). Due to its recent surge, Portland (32-37) is 3.5 games ahead of New Orleans; those clubs only meet April 12 in Oregon, with the Pelicans up 2-1 in the season series right now. Dallas (30-39) also leads New Orleans in the standings, but only by 1.5 games.

1)      New Orleans (29-41) is suddenly heating up, beating Minnesota 123-109 last night for its fourth victory in the last five games.

3)      The Pelicans are now 4.5 games out of eighth place in the Western Conference, with three head-to-head games remaining vs. No. 8 Denver. However, Portland is also 3.5 games ahead of New Orleans, while Dallas holds a 1.5-game edge. The Pelicans have a total of five games remaining against that trio of teams and will almost certainly need to sweep those to stay in the playoff conversation.
