Pelicans-Suns Postgame: Locker Room Quotes 12/18/15

Pelicans Head Coach Alvin Gentry:

On how he summed-up tonight’s game:
“Terrible, terrible… bad effort. Not playing hard, not giving a damn, that’s the way I want to sum it up.”

On what was not working against the Suns:
“Nothing, nothing. We didn’t play with effort, we didn’t play together as a team so nothing worked.”

On the Pelicans’ offense:
“Offensively we sucked.”

Pelicans Forward Anthony Davis:

On the Pelicans’ effort tonight:
“We played terrible. We weren’t competing we didn’t play hard. They (Suns) just did whatever they wanted and we acted like we didn’t want to be here.”

On what the Suns did to make it difficult:
“It wasn’t difficult it was just us, we just weren’t playing. We acted like we didn’t care, we were just moving around, talking, nothing.”

On the Pelicans’ offensive struggles:
“We’re going to miss shots, but we still have to be on our defense. They killed us in fast break points and all of that, points in the paint… We’ve got to get better if we want to win, we have to get better in all those categories… We just acted like we didn’t care.”

Pelicans Guard Jrue Holiday:

On his thoughts about tonight’s game:
“We just had an off night. We came out, obviously I think we were up, but then we started missing shots and from there it kind of went downhill.”

On why the Pelicans struggled tonight:
“Sometimes there’s nights like that.”
