Quincy Pondexter Undergoes Successful Surgery

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that forward Quincy Pondexter underwent successful surgery today to repair the cartilage injury in his left knee. He is expected to make a full recovery for the 2016-17 season. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.

Pondexter, who underwent a previous surgical procedure on his left knee on May 6, 2015, was ruled out for the remainder of the 2015-16 season earlier this month.

Pondexter, 6-7, 220, was reacquired by New Orleans in January of 2015 from Memphis after spending his rookie year with New Orleans during the 2010-11 season. In 279 career regular season contests, the University of Washington product holds career averages of 5.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 18.1 minutes per game.
