Pelicans complete trade with Bulls

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has traded Quincy Pondexter, a future second-round pick and cash considerations to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for the draft rights to Ater Majok.

Pondexter, 6-7, 220, was re-acquired by New Orleans from Memphis during the 2014-15 season after spending his rookie season with the franchise. Selected in the first round (26th overall) in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder, Pondexter has appeared in 279 career regular season games (47 starts) with Memphis and New Orleans, averaging 5.3 points and 2.0 rebounds.

Majok, 6-10, 233, was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 58th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft and currently plays for Homenetmen Beirut B.C. of Lebanon.
