Dante Cunningham injury update

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that forward Dante Cunningham has been diagnosed with a non-displaced right proximal fibula fracture and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

The injury occurred in the second quarter of Wednesday night’s win over Minnesota at the Smoothie King Center. Cunningham, 6 feet 8, 230 pounds, has appeared in 15 games (10 starts) for New Orleans this season, averaging 5.6 points while shooting .410 from three-point range, and 3.9 rebounds in 23.5 minutes per game. In his eighth season (third with New Orleans), Cunningham has appeared in 527 career regular season games, holding averages of 6.0 points and 3.7 rebounds in 21.0 minutes per game with Portland, Charlotte, Memphis, Minnesota and New Orleans.5.
