For one half Sunday night in Las Vegas, New Orleans played about as well as you could’ve possibly hoped, racking up 46 first-half points and looking like a cohesive team despite the unfamiliarity that comes with summer league. The second half was a completely different story, however. Portland rebounded from a subpar initial 20 minutes to dominate NOLA 31-13 in the third quarter, quickly erasing its entire deficit. The Trail Blazers held on late to prevail after two missed three-pointers by the Hornets in the final few seconds.
