Paul All-NBA choice again after one-year hiatus

For the third time in Chris Pauls decorated professional career, the 6-foot point guard was selected to one of the leagues All-NBA teams. The six-year veteran was chosen as a third-team pick (the first-team All-NBA point guard was Derrick Rose, with Russell Westbrook named to the second team). During Pauls breakout 2007-08 season, when he was runner-up in the MVP race, he was a first-team selection. In 2008-09, he made the second team, but an injury-plagued 2009-10 kept him out of consideration for All-NBA honors.
The NBA actually does not designate All-NBA choices by specific position designations, meaning that two point guards can both be on the first team or two shooting guards. Based on the voting, Paul received the fifth-most votes among all guards, though, behind Rose, Kobe Bryant, Westbrook and Dwyane Wade.
In one nod to the kind of season New Orleans center Emeka Okafor put together, he was listed in the others receiving votes category, picking up one third-team vote from one of the balloters. The Hornets were 3-7 in games Okafor missed this season, but 43-29 when he was on the floor.2010-11 ALL-NBA FIRST TEAM
