New Orleans second-year point guard Greivis Vasquez sat down with Hornets.com recently to discuss some of his opinions about the National Basketball Association. Vasquez has scored a career-high 20 points in each of the past two Hornets home games, while also handing out 12 assists vs. Phoenix on Feb. 1.
Most memorable moment in the NBA: “Beating San Antonio in the playoffs with Memphis. They had the No. 1 record in the West. Also I made a few big shots in the second-round series against Oklahoma City.”

Most memorable dunk in the NBA: “I don’t think I’ve had a memorable one – yet.”

Most embarrassing moment in the NBA: “When I was a rookie, there was a game where Deron Williams stepped on my feet and I fell, then he made a shot. Everyone thought I got crossed over by him, but he stepped on me.”

Most surprising thing about the NBA as a rookie: “How many games you play and the travel. It is crazy how much you travel. It’s hard to get used to at first.”

Toughest player to face at his position: “Definitely Chris Paul.”

Most underrated player in the NBA: “Manu Ginobili.”

Best uniforms in the NBA (besides the Hornets): “I think we have the best uniforms in the NBA, but besides ours, I don’t have a preference.” [smiles]

Favorite road arena: “Staples Center in Los Angeles. When you play the Lakers, it’s always a good environment. Boston is good too, as well as New York.”

Favorite road trip, based on the city: “Toronto. I just like that city.”
