New Orleans second-year point guard Greivis Vasquez sat down with Hornets.com recently to discuss some of his opinions about the National Basketball Association. Vasquez has scored a career-high 20 points in each of the past two Hornets home games, while also handing out 12 assists vs. Phoenix on Feb. 1.
Most memorable moment in the NBA: Beating San Antonio in the playoffs with Memphis. They had the No. 1 record in the West. Also I made a few big shots in the second-round series against Oklahoma City.
Most memorable dunk in the NBA: I dont think Ive had a memorable one yet.
Most embarrassing moment in the NBA: When I was a rookie, there was a game where Deron Williams stepped on my feet and I fell, then he made a shot. Everyone thought I got crossed over by him, but he stepped on me.
Most surprising thing about the NBA as a rookie: How many games you play and the travel. It is crazy how much you travel. Its hard to get used to at first.
Toughest player to face at his position: Definitely Chris Paul.
Most underrated player in the NBA: Manu Ginobili.
Best uniforms in the NBA (besides the Hornets): I think we have the best uniforms in the NBA, but besides ours, I dont have a preference. [smiles]
Favorite road arena: Staples Center in Los Angeles. When you play the Lakers, its always a good environment. Boston is good too, as well as New York.
Favorite road trip, based on the city: Toronto. I just like that city.
