Five things to know about the Pelicans on Oct. 7

1) The Pelicans (1-0 preseason) continue their multi-day stay in Texas with a Monday night road game against the Dallas Mavericks (7:30 p.m.). The Pelicans Radio Network (flagship station 105.3 FM) will have full coverage of the game starting at 7:30. If you’re outside the team’s coverage area, you can listen online via NBA.com. Neither team is televising the game, so highlights may be somewhat tough to come by Monday evening. For the remainder of preseason, the only Pelicans game that will be broadcast on TV by either team is Oct. 25 at Orlando (the Magic are televising).
2) The Pelicans will hold shootaround this morning in Dallas' American Airlines Center at 11 a.m.
3) Listen to the Black & Blue Report today at noon (and any time after) for a preview of tonight’s game from radio play-by-play broadcaster Sean Kelley, as well as the thoughts of Monty Williams following Saturday’s win in Houston.
