Five things to know about the Pelicans on Dec. 26

1) After a mini-break of two days (including a travel day back from Sacramento on Tuesday) for Christmas, the Pelicans return to practice late Thursday afternoon.
2) New Orleans (12-14) is back in game action Friday, hosting the Denver Nuggets (14-13) with a chance to pull within a half game of the Nuggets in the Western Conference standings. Denver has lost four in a row. Tickets are available here.
3) Austin Rivers recently hosted a 17-year-old at a Pelicans practice and game who had a wish to meet his favorite basketball player.
4) In case you missed it, the Pelicans are coming off a 113-100 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Monday, in Tyreke Evans’ return game against his former team.
