2015 NBA All-Star Game: Pelicans forward Anthony Davis leads Western Conference front-court voting

New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis leads the Western Conference front-court All-Star voting with 524,623 votes according to numbers released on Christmas Day by the league.

Clippers forward Blake Griffin is second with 307,908 while Memphis center Marc Gasol is third with 227,554.

Golden State Stephen Curry leads the voting among Western Conference guards with 549,095. Lakers guard Kobe Bryant is second with 521,542 and Rockets guard James Harden is third with 336,998 votes.

All-Star starters will be announced Jan. 19. The game is Feb. 15. Davis made the team last season as a reserve.

Davis, in his third season out of Kentucky, has had an amazing start to the 2014-15 season filling out every imaginable statistical category. He is averaging 24.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.8 blocks and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 57.3 percent from the field.

The Pelicans (14-14) return to action Friday when they play host to the World Champion San Antonion Spurs at 7 p.m. at the Smoothie King Center. A limited number of tickets are available.
