The Denver Nuggets acquired Ruben Patterson, Charles Smith and Reggie Evans during a four-team trade on Thursday, Feb. 23. Anytime there are four different teams involved in a single transaction, things tend to get a little complicated. So, Nuggets.com has created this easy-to-read flowchart to help give you, the fan, a simple way to visualize what exactly took place just prior to the trade deadline. Hopefully this will lead to a better understanding of the most complex deal in the NBA's recent trading period.


FLOWCHART BREAKDOWN (Clockwise)

Section One -- Between Denver and Seattle (Blue Arrows)

  • The Nuggets send G Earl Watson, G/F Bryon Russell and a future second round draft pick to the Sonics.
  • The Sonics send F Reggie Evans to the Nuggets.

    Section Two -- Between Seattle and Sacramento (Gold Arrows)

  • The Sonics send C Vitaly Potapenko to the Kings.

    Section Three -- Between Sacramento and Portland (Green Arrows)

  • The Kings send F Brian Skinner to the Blazers.
