Prospect Q&A: Anthony Barber

How’s this process been going so far?
It’s been great. Going to all these workouts, not a lot of guys get to do this so it’s been great. I’ve been enjoying it.

What’s your main focus coming into these workouts?
My focus is get through the workout and making sure I’m in shape. Going through the drills, hitting shots. All the little things.

If drafted, how you do see yourself fitting into the Nuggets roster?
Pretty good. I feel like I can pick up some minutes when Emmanuel Mudiay goes out. I feel like I can fit in good.

What do you want the Nuggets organization and the fans here in Denver to know about you?
Just the kind of person I am. I get a lot of stereotypes because of where I’m from and the tattoos. I want people to know who I am and see who I am on the inside.

Who do you most compare your game to in the NBA right now?
I never really do that. But I watch Tony Parker a lot. I just watch how he comes off screens, I feel like I can do a little of what he can do.

Where does the nickname “Cat” come from?
My sister gave it to me. When I was little, I used to climb on cabinets a lot and she called me a cat. And it just stuck in basketball too.
