Pre-Draft Workout: June 18

The Denver Nuggets will conduct a pre-draft workout a pair of players on Saturday, June 18. This will be the 14th workout at Pepsi Center draft prospects.

Furkan Korkmaz, a 6’7” guard from Turkey, averaged 2.7 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.5 assists in 8.8 minutes per game for Anadolu Efes Istanbul of the Turkish Basketball League. Over the span of two seasons, Korkmaz has shot 41.0% from long distance and was even better in the FIBA U19 world championship where he averaged 45.2% from three-point range. As a result, he was named to the all-tournament team and helped Turkey win a bronze medal.

Tanner Samson, a 6’4” senior guard from Elon Phoenix, averaged 11.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.0 steals in the 2015-16 season. Samson is originally from Littleton and attended Regis Jesuit High School. Samson also averaged 36.9% from three-point range. He finished his career as Elon’s all-time leader in three-pointers made (324) and attempted (862).

The Nuggets currently hold five selections in the 2016 NBA Draft, including the seventh, 15th and 19th overall picks.
